Communication in the Organizational Context: The Professional Profile of Communicators: Present and Future
Synopsis
This article presents a documentary analysis—both theoretical and conceptual—based on a literature review, scientific research, and academic debate that seeks to explain the professional profile of corporate communicators, as well as the practices and functions involved in their present and future management. To achieve this objective, it sets out the relevant reasons for using and applying corporate communication; its interdisciplinary, complex, and challenging field of action; and the scope of its role from a perspective of humanization, understanding, and recognition of organizations—understood as interacting social systems. Based on this process, and with a view toward the future management of corporate communication, it should consider and promote new ways of establishing relationships and experiences with its audiences. These will adapt to the new realities that continue to emerge and evolve, not only because of the dynamism of societies themselves, but also because of the interaction between individuals and organizations and their micro- and macro-environments.
