Synopsis

The present work includes an approximation of academic and testimonial visions of what dollarization was as a Financial Monetary System in Ecuador, after more than two decades. It also documents its paradigmatic condition as a successful monetary policy for other Latin American nations, either because they followed other macroeconomic paths (Argentina) or because it inspired similar actions (El Salvador).
